Melaia Liku

Melaia Liku is a public health professional with over 10 years of experience managing community health and humanitarian projects in Fiji. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology and Chemistry, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health, and a Master of Business Administration.

Melaia began her career as a Health Project Officer with the Fiji Red Cross Society and later progressed to the role of Health Coordinator. Her work has focused on community health, disease prevention, water and sanitation, and public health emergency response. In her roles, she has led project planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building initiatives across diverse communities.

As a public health practitioner, Melaia works closely with national partners, communities, and stakeholders to strengthen health systems and improve community wellbeing through practical, community-centered approaches.
