World Skin Health Day was celebrated in Fiji on the 8th of July! Fiji marked the day with a community celebration held in Nabaka Village, Suva District, Rewa. This year’s theme was 'Better Knowledge. Better Skin Health' which reinforces the importance of the health system and community members to be informed on skin health to improving knowledge of scabies and its complications.

The World Scabies Program and the Fiji Ministry of Health and Medical Services supported the event that was attended by over 200 people. Dermatologists and health teams conducted skin screenings, provided treatments and supported referrals.

We'd like to thank all our partners including Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for supporting Fiji’s journey toward a scabies-free future.
